Warrior Athletics

Trinity Athletes build their skills in teamwork, sportsmanship and leadership.

Warrior Athletics begins at 5th grade and continues on until 8th grade.  We are members of the Twin Cities Lutheran Athletic Conference and compete with schools in the metro area.

We currently offer Co-Ed Cross Country, Boys and Girls Basketball, Boys and Girls Volleyball and opportunities for wrestling. We also compete in the local Track and Field days for our 4th and 5th grade.  Our middle school competes in Track and Field at Concordia High School.

We have agreements with the Hudson Public School District for our students to play on certain teams with the public school; for example if a  student athlete wants to play football, which we do not offer, they can participate on the public school team.

Our Warrior Colors are navy and white with a Warrior shield.  We teach our athletes to always honor God both on and off the court, they sign an athletic agreement and must maintain a minimum of a C average to participate.

Our coaching staff consists of  teachers, parents and community volunteers.

Chapel

Chapel at Trinity Academy is held weekly on Wednesdays 2:40-3:10. Parents, siblings and guests are welcome to attend. Chapel is led by Trinity staff, missionaries and guest Pastors. Each grade level will lead Chapel one time during the school year. The last Chapel day of the month will be small group Chapel. Staff members each take a multi-age group for this small group Chapel time and everyone works on the same lesson. Offering is taken weekly during Chapel.

Our student council determines which organizations/missions are to be the recipients of the Chapel offering. Our fifth graders assist with the music power point each week and Middle School students lead songs through worship band.

Servants in Action

This school wide program is to promote putting our faith into action, teaching and acting upon leadership and service.  Our school focus is to combat hunger both spiritual and physical.  We collect food for the local food shelves, provide chapel offerings to hunger related charities, and participate in Empty Bowls Event as well as field trips to Feed My Starving Children.

After School Enrichment

After school enrichment may consist of Middle School Leaders in Action, Mad Science, private music lessons, church choirs, and art lessons.

Student Council

Trinity Academy holds regular monthly student council meetings. Each class in grades 3-8 will elect two representatives. Officers are elected from the middle school student body. Student council representatives do service work around school, determine Chapel funds, help with all school events such as our school dance and talent show and See you at the Pole.

Camp St Croix – Grade 5

An important part of the environmental education studies curriculum for fifth grade is a two-night/three day camp experience at the YMCA Camp St. Croix just south of Hudson. The camp is generally in the fall and the dates will be decided prior to the beginning of the school year. Parent chaperones and Trinity Academy staff will accompany this group. The cost is the responsibility of each student and his family. If a student and his/her parent choose not to participate, the student will be required to submit assigned work in environmental studies.

Trinity Academy Singers

Trinity Academy Singers is our school choir comprised of K-5th grade students. This is a flexible choir allowing for students to participate as family schedules allow. Our singers have performed at the Christian Community Home, Ecumenical Lenten Tryst, Spring Concert, Mall of America Christmas performance, Open House as well as church services during the school year. There are two events each year that are part of our music curriculum and attendance is required at the Christmas program and Spring Concert. This choir is lead and directed by our school music teacher.

See You At The Pole

This national annual event is held the fourth Wednesday of September. On this day students gather at flag poles across the country to pray for teachers, military, and country and community leaders and to praise and worship God. At Trinity Academy our 5th grade class organizes this event and works with the lower grades on prayers and a schedule for the program. At Trinity, because we are blessed to worship God all day, we hold this event after school starts, during our Chapel time.
