2016 Trinity Academy Cross Country Team Starts Season Strong!
The Trinity Academy Warriors cross country team started their season strong last Friday at the Trinity Lone Oak meet in Eagan. Lauren McLean led the girls’ 4th – 6th grade team with a 5th place overall finish. Other girl runners were Julianne Kurth and Ayla Larsen. Charlie Wendell won the boys’ 4th – 6th grade race, followed closely by Maddox Malchow in second place. Other runners included Emmitt Miller, Ben Raymond, Sam Wendell, Brecken Meyer, Elliot Vargas, and Evan Gibson.
The boys’ 7th – 8th grade team swept the two-mile race with Ethan Vargas in first place, Steven Asmus (2nd), Micah Larsen (3rd), Braden Meyer (4th), and Ben Land (5th). Meg Krestchmer won the girls’ 7th – 8th grade race. The Warriors next meets are at Hudson Middle School on September 15 and King of Kings Lutheran School on September 16.
