Music and Worship Band

Music:  Singing is the basic means of musical expression in all cultures.  The music program at Trinity encourages the participation of each student.  Learning proper use of the voice in singing and speaking from an early age is vital for effective communication.  Students explore various types of musical styles.  They learn through listening, echoing, movement, pitch, simple instrument play, rhythm, and tonal exploration.  All K–5th Grade students participate in the annual Christmas Musical and spring choral concert.  In the upper grade levels, students explore advanced tonal and rhythm exploration, improvisation, two-part singing, rounds, and music theory.

Worship Band:  This is a one year elective course which meets once a week during study hall and leads worship during weekly chapel services. Students learn responsibilities and keys to creating a successful and cohesive worship team.

Jesus and music are the greatest passions in my life and I feel so blessed to be able to spend my days sharing what I love! In my years of teaching I have realized how important it is to train children in God’s ways from a young age and music is such a powerful tool! My hope is that students will take what they learn at Trinity to their homes and into the community to share this universal language with others as they share the love of God through musical expression.

Singing is the basic means of musical expression in all cultures. The music program at Trinity encourages the participation of each student. Learning proper use of the voice in singing and speaking from an early age is vital for effective communication. All Trinity Academy students learn and work to meet and exceed state standards as well as the Musician’s pledge, which stated that all students are well behaved and follow a standard of behavior and respect in regards to the classroom environment, instruments, and fellow musicians. All grades meet weekly for forty-five minute sessions.

My Favorite Bible Verse

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6

My Greatest Joy in working in a Christian School

Being able to share freely about God.

I Love Trinity Academy because

The smaller environment creates a warmth and opportunity to be more connected with the students and staff. I feel that God’s joyful presence and the dedication of my colleagues makes this a wonderful place where genuine faith is nurtured.
