Mrs. Warner

Welcome to 5th Grade!

Teaching has always been my passion even though I have worked in other career fields. I live on a farm north of Baldwin with my husband. We have four children, four llamas, chickens, rabbits, and a variety of small animals. We raise honeybees and enjoy our life in the country.

It is with great joy that I welcome your child to my class. This is a very special time in your child’s life. He or she will be learning many new things this year-academic skills, organizational skills, social skills, self-confidence, and responsibility. In fact, the year your child spends in fifth grade will be one of the most important and valuable years in his or her development, readying him or her for the years ahead in middle school.

You play a major role in helping your child reach the maximum of his or her potential. Research in the area of child development points out that most of a child’s intellectual development takes place outside the formal classroom. This means that children spend a great deal of time with their first and most important teachers-their parents. Indeed, as parents, your involvement in your child’s learning experiences will have much to do with how well your child succeeds in school and in later life. By working together, I believe we can all help your child become the best person possible-socially, emotionally, spiritually, and academically.

I have prepared a handbook to give you and your child some ideas as to what to expect over the course of the next year. if you have any questions or concerns throughout the year, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Your participation and encouragement will be contributions to your child’s success this year! I hope your child enjoys 5th grade as much as I do!

In Christian love,

Mrs. Joanne Warner

My Favorite Bible Verse

This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. – Psalm 118:24

My Greatest Joy in working in a Christian School

Every time a student is acting like Jesus towards another person and when students make the connection that academics and God are tied together.

I Love Trinity Academy Because

I have the pleasure of teaching students with wonderful, supportive families who believe in the importance of a faith-based education.
